Research Academy

The NAWRS Research Academy was launched at the 2012 NAWRS Annual Workshop as a long-term initiative to build state and local research and evaluation capacity. The Academy brings federal, state, and local researchers and administrators together with other research and evaluation experts to discuss how to incorporate rigorous research methods—including random assignment experiments—into ongoing agency efforts to improve and document program effectiveness. Academy activities include plenaries and breakout sessions at the annual conference, webinars and other virtual events throughout the year, and a Google Group that serves as a forum for discussion and information-sharing. To become a part of this conversation, build connections with others working toward this goal, and receive information about Academy events and other relevant resources, please join the NAWRS Research Academy Google Group at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/nawrs-research-academy/join.
